The terms for using CounterTalk, memberships, and interpreting time.
CounterTalk converts spoken conversations into translated text. It assists ordinary conversations and is not a substitute for a qualified interpreter in medical, legal, emergency, or other high-stakes situations. Verify names, prices, quantities, dates, and other important details with the other person. We do not guarantee error-free translation or uninterrupted availability.
Tell everyone involved that audio is being processed for translation and obtain any consent required where you use the app. Use the service lawfully. Do not use it to harm others, impersonate someone, bypass usage controls, or interfere with the service.
You may start without signing in. Sign in with Apple on iPhone/iPad or Google on Android before purchasing or using your membership on another device. Keep that provider account secure. Accounts are not merged based on email equality. Linking another provider requires fresh approval from an already authorized device; independently owned accounts are not automatically combined.
The store confirmation shows the product, local price, payment period, and any eligible offer before purchase. Monthly time is granted according to your plan; annual plans grant one month of time at a time. Purchased top-up time does not expire. Only audio accepted for translation counts toward usage; a higher-accuracy mode may use the multiplier disclosed before you enable it. Unused monthly time and any grace are handled according to the plan shown in the app. Top-ups require a separate purchase confirmation and are never bought automatically.
The welcome allowance is five minutes once per device/account and is not renewed by reinstalling or deleting app data. It does not unlock banked top-up time or monthly grace. An active membership is required to buy and use top-up time; unused purchased time remains banked while membership is inactive.
Subscriptions renew according to the terms shown by Apple or Google unless you cancel through that store. Uninstalling CounterTalk, signing out, or deleting app data does not cancel a subscription. Store rules and applicable consumer law govern cancellation and refunds. Refunded or revoked purchases may lose the associated time credits.
