Start an edit

Choose New project, then pick videos or photos. Use Blank project to choose a canvas first. Inside the editor, Add media opens Photos and Media file imports from Files. Select a clip to reveal its editing tools.

02

Edit and export

Trim or split a clip, add text or audio, and adjust speed, color, or framing. Undo and redo are available while the project is open. Changes are saved locally.

Choose the export resolution and frame rate, then Export. Save to Photos requires add permission. Share video lets you choose Files or another destination. Large videos may take more time and free storage. Keep the app open until export finishes.

03

Troubleshooting

If export fails, check free storage, confirm the original media is available, and try 720p at 30 fps. If saving to Photos was denied, change the app permission in system Settings or use Share video.

Drafts are local to the device. Clipwell currently has no account recovery or automatic cross-device project sync. Export important finished videos before deleting the app.

Platforms and availability

Clipwell is being prepared for a free release, with iOS as its primary platform. iPhone, iPad, and a Mac Catalyst version are in development. Apple Watch is not supported. App Store availability will be linked here when released.
