About this policy

Dayhue is provided by SW Cosmos Inc. This policy covers the Dayhue app on supported Apple devices and its related services. Contact info@swcosmos.com with questions or privacy requests.

02

Accounts and saved colors

You can start with a guest account. We use an authentication identifier to protect your settings, saved palettes, collections, recommendation history, and optional color profile. If you connect Apple sign-in, our authentication service processes the provider identity and information Apple supplies, which may include your email or private relay address. We use this for authentication and account continuity.

We store your selected city and its coordinates and time zone, language, appearance, temperature and time preferences, notification preferences, saved palette snapshots, and color selections to provide and synchronize Dayhue.

03

Camera and personal color

Camera access is optional and requested when you start a supported capture flow. Dayhue processes selfie frames, facial landmarks, and sampled skin or reference-card pixels on your device. The capture flow does not upload these photos or facial landmarks to our servers, save the original photos to your library, or use them for facial identification.

When you save a color report, Dayhue stores and synchronizes the derived color profile, such as sampled color values, selected color direction, confidence and calibration information, and recommended colors. These derived values are linked to your Dayhue account. You can use the weather palette features without taking a selfie.

If you choose to export or share a palette or report image, the image is handed to the destination you select. Copies you export are controlled by you and that destination; deleting Dayhue data does not delete those copies.

04

City search and weather

You can choose a city manually. Current location access is optional and helps select a city; Dayhue does not continuously track your movements. The selected city coordinates are used to request weather forecasts.

New weather forecasts use MET Norway Locationforecast, and city search uses a GeoNames city dataset hosted in our backend, both under CC BY 4.0. City search text is sent to our backend; it is not sent to an external city-search API. Forecast requests are made through our backend using the selected city coordinates, so MET Norway receives our server request rather than a direct request from your device. Cached or saved palettes created before the provider change retain their original weather source attribution. Weather summaries are derived from the forecast for the remaining local day at the time the palette is created.

05

Morning notifications

If you enable notifications, we store an app installation identifier, Apple push notification token, platform, language, and delivery preferences. We use the selected city time zone and notification time to deliver your morning palette. Disable notifications in Dayhue or the system settings to stop them.

Notification text and palette images can be visible on your lock screen according to your device settings. Apple processes notification delivery.

06

Purchases and subscriptions

Where available, payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive your full card or payment-method details. We verify product identifiers, transaction identifiers, purchase dates, subscription expiration or refund status, and an account association to deliver and restore access and prevent duplicate or unauthorized purchases.

Deleting Dayhue data does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Purchase availability and the final price are shown by Apple before you confirm payment.

07

Service providers and diagnostics

We use Supabase for authentication, databases and server functions; Apple for sign-in, purchases and push delivery; weather providers for city and forecast data; and Vercel for this website. Providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States.

Feedback you submit is stored with your Dayhue account so we can investigate it. Infrastructure providers may process request metadata, IP addresses, timestamps and error logs for service operation and security. The current Dayhue app does not include advertising SDKs or cross-app advertising tracking. We do not sell your personal information.

08

Retention, deletion and your choices

We retain account-associated Dayhue information while needed to provide the service. You may delete saved palettes individually or use Settings > Delete Dayhue Account to remove Dayhue profile, color profile, settings, saved palettes, history, device registrations, feedback and Dayhue purchase associations.

Dayhue uses authentication infrastructure shared with other SW Cosmos products. The Dayhue deletion flow preserves the shared authentication identity and other products’ data. A minimal Dayhue deletion marker is retained to prevent an old session from silently recreating the deleted Dayhue account. Infrastructure logs and backups may remain under the relevant provider retention lifecycle.

You may request access, correction, a copy of your information or deletion assistance by contacting info@swcosmos.com. We may need to verify the request belongs to you. Do not email passwords, authentication codes, payment-card details or selfies. Your rights depend on applicable law; we respond to valid requests accordingly.

09

Security, children and changes

We use encrypted network connections, account-based access controls and protected device credential storage. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Dayhue is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

We may update this policy as Dayhue changes. The current policy and its revision date are available on this page.
